CCMS is celebrating its 90th anniversary of bringing the best of chamber music to Chicago in the kind of setting for which it was composed.
To commemorate this landmark, we have established a 90th Anniversary Celebration Fund to help support young musicians and the future of chamber music.
DePaul University has a robust chamber music program in which all instrumental performance majors are required to participate. Each year there is a competition that includes cash prizes for the winning chamber music ensembles, along with the opportunity to perform at an off-campus venue.
CCMS has committed to support the off-campus concert, including paying the young musicians and providing a professionally produced recording of each group’s performance. Such a recording will not only be a memory forever, but could serve as an entrée to a professional career for the young musicians.
Our members and the musicians’ guests will be able to attend the concerts, and all materials publicizing and documenting it, including the program and the recordings, will note: Supported by a gift from the Chicago Chamber Music Society’s 90th Anniversary Celebration Fund. CCMS is committed to underwriting this program for three years at a cost of $20,000 in total.
We hope you will support this effort by making a tax-deductible contribution to the Fund.
